Janell's Run ("the App") is a personal running tracker for iOS. Your privacy matters, and this policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices.
The App reads running workout data from Apple HealthKit (distance, duration, and date) to display your race history and personal records. This data is used solely within the App to provide its core functionality. It is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
The App uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. Your Apple ID credentials are handled entirely by Apple. The App stores only the user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name. These are stored securely in the device Keychain and synced via iCloud Keychain.
Your run data is synced across your devices using Apple CloudKit. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Only you can access your synced data.
If you submit a bug report or feature request through the App, the following information is sent to our server: your feedback text, device model, iOS version, app version, and your name (if you provided one via Sign in with Apple). This information is used solely to create a GitHub issue for tracking the feedback. No other personal data is collected or transmitted.
The App does not include any analytics frameworks, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking. No data is collected for advertising purposes.
All run data is stored on your device using SwiftData and synced to your iCloud account via CloudKit. The App does not operate its own servers for storing user data.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, please contact us via the in-app feedback feature or by opening an issue on our GitHub repository.
